Promoting Indigenous Employment (PIE)
The ‘Promoting Indigenous Employment’ (PIE) Project's aim is to facilitate economic development with the regional Aboriginal community through promoting opportunities in employment and potential business development and providing support to any existing Aboriginal businesses.
The Murraylands Promoting Indigenous Employment Project will deliver economic development outcomes for Aboriginal people, families and the community as a whole to further allow Aboriginal people to self determine their own futures.
This is a Murraylands Regional Development Board sponsored project in partnership with Department of Employment & Workplace Relations (DEWR) and Department of Further Education, Employment, Science & Technology (DFEEST).
With the agreement for funding from our partners we are now able to commit the resources required. As we strive to further develop the Murraylands multicultural community we must not overlook our own indigenous people and their aspirations.
Main objectives of the project:
- facilitate economic development with the regional Aboriginal community through promoting opportunities in training & employment;
- facilitate economic development with the regional Aboriginal community through promoting opportunities in business;
- provide support to any existing Aboriginal businesses
