Employment & Skills Formation (ESF)
The ESF network is instrumental in planning the region's skills and training needs, where it’s focus is upon developing and implementing strategies and associated actions, forging partnerships and understanding grant opportunities. Participation on the Murraylands Employment and Skills Formation Network is open to all members of the community who have a commitment to advancing local employment and skills formation issues in the Murraylands Region.
The Murraylands Employment and Skills Formation Network is responsible for developing strategic responses/approaches to advancing local employment and skill formation issues including:
- Gathering information, communicating and consulting with the local community on employment and skills formation issues
- Building strategic alliances to ensure a coordinated response that effectively uses resources in the region to address employment and skills formation needs for targeted groups
- Increasing community capacity through building local leadership and expertise
- Identify and maximise the use of all resources available to a region to address employment and skills formation issues
- Using relevant data and local knowledge, identify labour market issues and their impact on the employment and skills formation opportunities of local residents
- Providing strategic advice through the development and endorsement of the Employment and Skills Formation (ESF) Strategic and Action Plans with a focus on assisting identified target groups
- Informing, monitoring and evaluating program responses to issues that have been identified in the ESF Plans.
