Welcome to the Murraylands Regional Development Board

The Murraylands Regional Development Board was incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act in October 1992.

The Councils of Murray Bridge, Mannum, Meningie, Karoonda East Murray, Peake, Coonalpyn Downs, Lameroo and Pinnaroo joined to form the Board and offices were set up by mid December 1992.

In April, 1995, the District Council of Ridley-Truro joined the Board, followed by the District Council of Brown's Well in September 1995.

Following Council amalgamations in 1997/1998 the Murraylands region now comprises the Local Government areas of Coorong, Karoonda East Murray, Mid Murray, Southern Mallee and the Rural City of Murray Bridge.

The Board's mission is

"To facilitate business development and business education, tourism development, economic development and involvement in labour market programs."

"With our regional partners we will facilitate the retention, expansion and initiation of new enterprises and business organisations within the Murraylands in response to opportunities from within and outside the region."
